Blow For Liverpool As Most Important Man At Anfield Turns Top Transfer Target For Barcelona

Merseyside outfit Liverpool have not won a major trophy in more than 3 years now and they are yet to lift the Barclays Premier League title in more than 20 years. They have had some monumental moments in this time and will always remain one of the best clubs on the continent.

However, there has not been much to cheer about for the fans in the last 4 years as they have not seen their beloved team lift a trophy in this time.

The biggest cause of excitement for the Reds was the signature of Luis Suarez, who is now regarded as one of the best strikers in world football. Since his signature, Anfield has not seen a star player graze their field but surely, they have a great reason to smile for over an year now.

8 games into the previous season, the Liverpool hierarchy decided to dump the team on German talisman Jurgen Klopp and his signature will remain one of the best business from Liverpool in this decade.

The German manager, who has helped Borussia Dortmund to new heights, is expected to take Liverpool back to their best but he has in the past, spoken about taking time to get them there.

And the Reds are now dealt a blow as Spanish giants Barcelona do not want to give Klopp that time at Anfield.

The La Liga champions, Barcelona, are currently having a season to forget. They are a point behind Real, having played a couple of matches more and are in need of a miracle of sorts to turn down the 4-0 deficit that they acquired on their trip to Paris in the Champions League.

Manager Luis Enrique, who helped the club to back to back La Liga titles is under severe pressure now and it is not hard to see him losing his job if Barcelona do not improve quickly.

So it does not come as a surprise that the Catalan giants are already looking at potential replacements and according to Spanish news outfit Ok Diario and a number of other sources around the two countries, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is the man Barcelona want to replace Luis Enrique with.

Klopp is currently contracted with the Anfield outfit till 2021 and is not ready to move for Barcelona are desperate and it might be an offer too hard to turn down for the talisman in a few months time.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino and Everton’s Ronald Koeman are two other managers who are on the short list but Barcelona are confident that they can land Klopp in the offseason.

However, all such rumors were squashed by Bookies who are confident that Klopp is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Do you think Jurgen Klopp will leave to the Camp Nou in the summer?
