Manchester United who fought out a sweet victory over their rivals Liverpool in the last outing have some bad news before the game against Southampton.
The club has already been hit with injuries to key players and manager Louis van Gaal has now revealed that another player is out injured for a long time after picking up an injury in the last game.
The Red Devils are already short of options in the defensive positions and it was revealed that Ashley Young who limped off Anfield in the dying stages of the first half has suffered a serious groin injury that will keep him out for atleast 2 months.
The Dutchman talking before the game against the Saints revealed that Young has a severe injury and that he requires a surgery to get rid of the groin problem that he has picked up recently.
The 30 year old is a natural winger who loves to attack but was used as a right back in many games by Van Gaal including the game at Anfield.
Young has made 16 appearances for Untied this season but now joins the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Phil Jones on the treatment table.
He collided with James Milner of Liverpool and was substituted immediately. This comes as a blow to the Red Devils who will now have to look into the transfer window to find an able replacement for the dynamic Ashley Young.
He will have to replaced for the game against Saints and might be a bit weak on the wings at Old Trafford this weekend.
