Arsenal have been handed a massive transfer blow by the recent resurgence of AC Milan. The Serie A side have decided to activate F.C Porto striker Jackson Martinez’s release clause of €35million and sign him in the summer.
Jackson Martinez was strongly linked with Arsenal by the British media, who claimed that the Gunners were ready to activate Martinez’s release clause.
According to reports, Arsenal were weighing up an option of selling Lukas Podolski, Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbell to free up space for the Colombian striker.
AC Milan are on the verge of coming back to the top of Italian football after Bee Taechaubol agreed to take over the majority of AC Milan’s stake. As per reports, Bee Taechaubol is set to pay €780million to the club which will let him have a stake of close to 68%.
After the takeover, AC Milan fans have been promised a massive €150million in transfer budget to ensure hugh-profile signings at the club. The Italian side are set to announce Sinisa Mihajlovic as their new manager.

Early in the week, player’s agent confirmed that there is one club, who is ready to pay the full release clause amount for the player. Back then, everyone thought it was Arsenal but as it turns out the Colombian will be an AC Milan player next season.
