Arsene Wenger has finally made a huge 60 million euro bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick- Aubameyang, according to Spanish media.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the 26-year-old Gabon international who has 16 Bundesliga goals this season, but reports now suggest Arsenal have the money to meet Borussia Dortmund’s valuation this January and are supposedly in a strong bargaining position because of the intermediary’s strong influence.

Aubameyang is capable of playing wide or up front and will be a valuable asset for the Gunners in the second half of the season and would add firepower to their injury struck line-up. He also has unique celebrations after scoring and dons batman and spider-man masks while celebrating which would bring more entertainment in EPL. The prolific striker’s current contract with Dortmund doesn’t end until 2020, but Wenger is desperate to land him this month.

Dortmund however have little chance in holding onto him, considering the fact Aubameyang has been scoring consistently and is one of the deadliest strikers in Europe as of now. He was a finalist for BBC African Footballer of the Year, who would bring the required pace Arsenal needs to keep some pressure off Giroud in the absence of injured Alexis Sanchez.

The Gabon international even missed Dortmund’s first full training session of 2016 on Tuesday leading rumours that a transfer to Premier League is eminent.

The free-kick specialist has all the qualities needed to succeed in Premier League – Pace, strength, skill and obviously technique and of all the top strikers linked with Arsenal in this transfer window, Aubameyang is the best with all-round ability. He has the speed to out-run defenders along with the height and strength to bully them.

Mesut Ozil has produced crazy numbers of assists this term, but stats show most of his key pinpoint passes are not actually converted. If Wenger had a better finisher up front, his team would have scored more goals and Aubameyang might become the man to do it. He has already netted plenty of goals for fun this season and with a maestro like Ozil pulling the strings just behind him, Arsenal fans can imagine how many more he would score.
