Aston Villa have sacked underfire manager Tim Sherwood just after eight months in charge, as the club is presently hobbling in 19th position in the league table.

Aston Villa, languishing at the bottom of the Premier League, have been in disastrous form this season.

Sherwood’s managerial post was always under tremendous threat as they lost  another home encounter against also a struggler Swansea.

There was definitely a lack of support from the club hierarchy before the match and they have now made the harsh decision.

Reports are claiming, Ray Wilkins and Mark Robson have also been given their marching orders following Sherwood’s sacking.
