Chelsea legend Michael Essien is back to Stamford Bridge but only to train with the Blues squad before finding a new club this summer.
The 33-year old is regarded as one of the greatest players ever to play for the Blues as he had been an integral part of Chelsea for over right and half years.
He is one of the greatest signings made in Roman Abramovich’s era as the Ghanian moved from French club Lyon to London in 2005 for a massive £24.4 million.
He along with Frank Lampard has formed one of the most devastating central midfield partnerships in the history of Premier League.
Known as ‘The Bison’ to Chelsea fans, the Ghanian ace has gone on to win two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, and a Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge.
He had made 256 appearances for Chelsea before moving to Italian giants AC Milan in 2014.
Essien is now a free agent as the player was released from the contract after just a year by Greek club Panathinaikos. However, it remains to be seen whether Antonio Conte would add the legendary midfielder to his squad this season.
