The Chosen One, ex-Manchester United and ex- Everton coach David Moyes has been officially sacked as the manager of Real Sociedad. Sociedad has decided to sack him after just 364 days of charge. The ex-Man U manager took Real Sociedad to 12 th place in the La Liga table last season, and their struggle continues this season too. After 4 th consecutive league defeats in 5 games and being just off the relegation jone just by goal difference, it was inevitable that Moyes will be sacked. The 2-0 defeat to Las Palmas seemed to be the final nail in his coffin. The Everton manager of 11 years took charge of Manchester United, succeeding Alex Ferguson, but he flopped miserably and was sacked after one season only.

The club have given an official statement regarding the sacking of David Moyes and his assistant Billy Mckinlay:

”We want to thank both David Moyes and Billy Mckinlay for the entire contribution, professionalism and dedication they have shown during the course of their duties. We wish them the best for their professional and personal future.”
