Everton FC have finally come to a conclusion regarding John Stones’ future. They have officially announced that the club have rejected the young central defender John Stones’ transfer request.

It was reported a week back that John Stones who was akey target of Premier League champions Chelsea wanted to leav the club this summer to join the giants and had accordingly handed a transfer request to the club.

Earlier today, it was reported that Everton manager Roberto Martinez claimed that even though an official decision is yet to taken it was pretty much sure that the club would not entertain Stones’ plea and would reject his transfer request.

Finally the club has officially declared the news that Stones will not be sold and his transfer request stands rejected.

The club official website carried statement which read:“Everton Football Club has rejected a transfer request from John Stones.

“Since the start of the transfer window, we have resolutely turned down offers from another Premier League football club for our player.

John is not for sale and he will remain a highly valued member of our first team squad.”

John Stones had joined Everton last season and grew up to be one of the best young defenders in the world. Thus, Chelsea became keen on signing the English international and thus were even ready to splash a huge amount of cash. Chelsea had earlier placed two bids which were cancelled. It was reported that John Stones could become the most expensive English defender ever as Chelsea apparently were ready to offer 40 million pounds.

But as it stands the Toffees are in no mood of selling one of their brightest and prospective talents in the club.  It will be a massive blow for Chelsea who are desperate bag the signings of the defenders. Their backline has been vulnerable this season as none of the star defenders are up to the mark.

Roberto Martinez was strict regarding this deal from the very beginning and had clarified a number of times about not selling the player to any other club.
