Enjoying his off-season holidays somewhere in France, Belgian Marouane Fellaini has caused quite a stir among the Old Trafford faithful by claiming that Angel Di Maria would be a good signing for PSG.

Speaking with a French television show telefoot, Fellaini was quoted saying: “Angel Di Maria would be a good signing for PSG,”

“He is a world-class player.

“He was successful at Real Madrid so he could be successful anywhere.”

It is hard to fathom why Fellaini would make such a claim knowing how Di Maria has been battling his demons and trying to stay at Old Trafford.

In an interview earlier this month, Di Maria vowed to stay at the club and create history with Manchester United by winning Premier League and Champions League.

However, to achieve that, Di Maria needs the full confidence of his teammates to success at Man United. Fellaini’s comments are hard to understand and the context he was trying to say these words.

Fellaini himself knows what it is like to come off an unsuccessful season and then establish himself in the playing 11.

Fellaini did add one point to cover his statement by saying that, “What would I do if I were him? Stay at Manchester United.”

Manchester United fans are yet to react on these comments made by the Belgian. It remains to be seen how the Old Trafford faithful would voice their opinion towards Fellaini and if Di Maria does end up joining PSG, would Fellaini be ever forgiven by the United fans?
