The Swiss midfielder’s pictures of posing while wearing an Arsenal jersey have been leaked on Twitter. The pictures also show that the rumoured kit for Arsenal next season, was true as Xhaka is wearing the same kit which was claimed to be Arsenal’s kit in 2016/17 season.

The highly rated defensive midfielder flew from Borussia Monchengladbach to London, for a Medical at the North London club.

Arsene Wenger has been in search of a defensive midfielder and a striker for like three or four year, and now he has finally signed a midfielder who will add his excellent technical and leadership abilities to the team. It is believed that Arsenal have paid a sum around £30million for the 23-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach star.

The Swiss midfielder used to play for the Swiss club Basel before his £6.3 million switch to the German club Borussia Monchengladbach in the year of 2012. He won the league and cup double, and was also named the “Young player of the year” of the Swiss Premier League. Basel also reached the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League by eliminating Manchester United.

When the Under-17 World Cup was taking place in Nigeria in 2009, Xhaka played a key role in the Swiss squad. He also led Switzerland in the Euro Under-21 finals, back in 2011, and ended up being runners-up.
