Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is considering all the options available for him which includes a shocking retirement next summer, according to The Sun.
The legendary German midfielder has joined Manchester United from Bayern Munich last summer but has failed to replicate his form at Old Trafford as he was completely ousted from the first team by new manager Jose Mourinho earlier this season.
The 32-year old has drawn interest from clubs in Major Soccer League (MLS) and Chinese Super League as he had offers from them earlier but has so far been at Old Trafford. He has fought hard to comeback to the first team picture as he has made his only appearance of the season so far as a late substitute against West Ham in League Cup.
Schweinsteiger has also retired from German national side after Euro 2016 as he was given a grand farewell in August this year. The German midfield maestro is currently earning £140,000-a-week at the club and still has one year left on his contract after the current season at Manchester United.
However, if Schweinsteiger decides to retire at the end of the ongoing season Manchester United will not need to pay the wages for his last year in his contract. The 32-year midfielder will look to continue his hard work in the training as he eyes more chances on the pitch and could very well make as the Red Devils are in for a hectic schedule for the rest of the season.
But in the current scenario, the best he could get is a bench role as he is more likely to be not used in the upcoming matches as Jose Mourinho is desperate for points as Manchester United are chasing their title rivals with the Red Devils left way behind.
