Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has confirmed that out of favour striker Javier Hernandez will play for the Red Devils next season. The 27-year old will get another chance as Robin van Persie has recently parted ways with the club.
The Mexican international has been under transfer speculation since Louis van Gaal took over as manager last season. The player was offloaded to Real Madrid on loan and has showed his class in the limited chances he got at Bernabeu.
The player has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer as the likes of Liverpool and West Ham are interested to sign him. Javier was said to be unsuitable to van Gaal’s system earlier but the manager has given the striker another chance.
With the departure of Robin van Persie, Rooney and Wilson are the only recognizable striekrs left in the squad which prompted van Gaal to keep the player in their roster for next season.
The player who has scored 37 goals for Red Devils since his arrival in 2010, will join the pre-season tour of US on 25th July. The official twitter account of Manchester United has tweeted, “Boss confirms Javier Hernandez will rejoin squad on 25 July. ‘He can prove himself again. His chances are better now.’ #MUtour“.
