According to the reports from Spain, Carlo Ancelloti has personally enquired about the possibility pf taking over as the Liverpool manager if they are to part ways with Brendan Rodgers. According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Ancelotti is ready to come out of his sabbatical and Liverpool fits his requirement too.
Rodgers was quite confident in his press conference ahead of the game against Everton, when he claimed that he feels no pressure going in to Sunday’s game but one cannot ignore the fact that any a poor result against Everton could mark down the end of his time as Liverpool manager.
Initially, it was suggested that Jurgan Klopp is the man to replace Rodgers, however, Klopp seems to be more focused on getting the Bayern Munich job next season when Pep Guardiola ends his time there.
Ancelloti is a proven manager and has won everything in club football and he sees Liverpool well within his rights to manage. Technically speaking, the current Liverpool squad is indeed a very talented one with players from defense to attack well capable of turning the games on their heads, however, results have eluded them.
It may be the case of Rodgers not been able to get the best out of his squad and it could be the best thing for both club and the manager to part ways and let someone else take over at Anfield. If Merseyside Derby’s pressure was not enough for Rodgers, now he has to deal with the pressure of saving his job with a positive result this weekend.
