According to Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Napoli are keen to sign Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic. The 26-year old is currently on an 18-month loan spell at Inter Milan.
The player has completed one year in his loan spell and Inter Milan are reportedly willing to buy Jovetic at the end of the loan spell in January next year.
Italian outfit Napoli are keen to sign the striker before Inter Milan could avail their option to buy the talented Montenegro international.
The Italian club is in search of a striker after selling Argentine international Gonzalo Higuain to their direct rivals Juventus for a reported sum of £75.3 million.
Napoli have identified a number of players who could replace goal machine Higuain which includes the likes of AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca and Mauro Icardi of Inter Milan.
However, the club is keen to sign Stevan Jovetic who had a decent season with Inter Milan as he managed 26 league appearances last season for the club.
Napoli are expected to hold talks with Manchester City to see if a deal could be struck this summer as Inter Milan awaits to buy the player in January.
