Manchester United’s pursuit of Sergio Ramos has taken a huge turn for the good after Di Marzio and AS both claimed that Ramos has agreed verbal agreement to join the Old Trafford club on a 3-year contract.
AS has gone on to report the chaos at Real Madrid’s camp after club’s President Florentino Perez is set to hold a crunch meeting in China to decide on Ramos’ immediate future at the club.
Perez is increasingly concerned with the quality of goal keepers at Bernabeu and he wants David De Gea to be Madrid’s custodian going in to crucial European games.
Perez is now beginning to understand how Manchester United will remain adamant at their stance of not letting De Gea leave this summer if Ramos does not become a part of the deal. United will be more than happy to let De Gea walk away for free then to sell him this season.
Clearly Perez has come to terms how Real Madrid will be hurt more than United as Van Gaal has enough defenders to rescue his season while the Spanish side will indeed struggle without an established goal keeper like David De Gea.
Marca have reported a story today where they have linked Ramos with a move to United and in return, the Old Trafford club are willing to pay £28million plus David De Gea.
In wake of that new bid and Perez’s crunch meeting in China, United are convinced that Ramos will be a United player before the transfer window shuts down.
