According to the Daily Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy haggling over the price for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The French international has expressed his desire to leave Newcastle United publicly this summer as the club got relegated from Premier League. The 27-year old has been impressive with France national team where they managed to reach the finals of Euro 2016 before losing to Portugal in extra time.
Newcastle are looking for a massive £35m for the talented French midfielder but Spurs are only willing to pay £20m to secure him. Spurs are hoping that the deal could go through as the relegated Newcastle are keen to cut their losses by selling the player before the deadline day ticks off.
The midfielder has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid but the likes of Everton, Crystal Palace besides Juventus have all expressed their interest in signing the talented midfielder after his string of stellar performances for France in Euro 2016.
The 27-year old can play both in the middle as well as in wide positions and is keen to join a club that offers him Champions League football. However, with the player’s future up in the air, Newcastle are keen to offload him this summer but are still looking for a club that could meet their asking price.
It remains to be seen whether Sissoko will be playing in Champions League or Championship after today.
