Spanish club Valencia are keen to sign Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo, according to the reports in Spain.
Radio Taronja says Valencia owner Peter Lim has made personal contact with Manchester United’s Ed Woodward over the transfer fee to sign the defender.
The 26-year old is one of the top players that are expected to leave Old Trafford alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger by the end of current transfer window.
Despite joining Manchester United two seasons ago for a €20 million from Sporting Lisbon, the Argentine has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford over the last two years. The player however managed to make 33 appearances for the Red devils last season under Louis van Gaal.
José Mourinho have already bought Eric Bailly for £30 million earlier in the summer to strengthen the defense. The new manager is reportedly keen to add an experienced defender to his squad before the end of current transfer window.
Valencia are reportedly willing to pay €12m for the Argentine as the club is keen to sign a new central defender.
Meanwhile, this could be a great news for Arsenal as the club have increased their interest in signing Shkodran Mustafi. The arrival of Rojo to the club could pave way for Arsenal to get their top transfer target of the summer.
French club Monaco are also reportedly interested in signing the 26-year old Argentine as the transfer window is coming to a close.
