Chelsea and Arsenal’s love with The Fa has continued as both the London teams have been fined by English football’s governing bodies with the charge of “failing to control their players” during the brawl that erupted at Emirates stadium when the two teams met earlier this season.

According to the FA’s official statement, Chelsea and Arsenal have been fined £40,000 and £30,000 respectively in the incident involving Gabriel Paulista and Diego Costa which ended up with the Arsenal defender getting red carded.

Since then, a lot has changed as Gabriel’s red card was overturned and Costa was banned for 3 matches after video analysis of the entire incident. Perhaps Costa’s involvement and his implied actions have seen Chelsea get the heavier fine.

Chelsea and Arsenal have been at each other, more so their managers and it will be an even fiery contest when these two teams meet next. The recent run of form Chelsea will have to change or else, Arsene Wenger will have a different Chelsea manager to deal with when these two teams meet next.
