Manchester United striker James Wilson has signed a new 4-year contract with the club with an option of extending a further year. Wilson has been seen as one of the best young talents to have come through the Manchester United academy in recent times.
Wilson was delighted having signed his new contract and now is targeting a regular spot in the team. Wilson said: “I am delighted to have signed a new contract and look forward to playing a part in the team for many years to come.”
Manager Louis Van Gaal was equally happy with his young striker signing a new contract. Van Gaal said: “I am delighted to have signed a new contract and look forward to playing a part in the team for many years to come.
“His development is continuing in the right direction and it is clear to see that he has a fine future ahead of him. He’s one of England’s brightest prospects. It’s clear to see he has a fine future ahead of him.”
With the new contract, Wilson has ended all speculations of linking him with a move away from the club as many clubs were after him to sign the Englishman on loan. With new contracts signed, next challenge for him is to gain a place on Van Gaal’s plans so that he at least features in games this season.
