Barcelona forward Pedro has confirmed that he is getting “important offers” from other clubs to leave the Catalan side. The player has emerged as a serious target to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool as he adds lot more dimension to the game.
Reports from Mirror sport previously suggested that Chelsea are eyeing a £20 million deal for the forward. The Spanish international has fallen behind in the first team as their attack primarily contains Suarez, Neymar and Messi.
The Spanian has admitted his frustation of not getting enough playing time after he was mostly benched last season. Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has asked the player to decide on his career with the club.
Pedro said: “It’s true I have received important offers but don’t want to say more out of respect for my club. My situation is complicated because I want to play a lot of minutes but that is becoming very difficult at Barcelona.”
Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer the player a lucrative four year contract and reports suggest that he could join their pre-season US tour if the transfer happens quickly.
The player has earlier commented that he is committed at Barcelona but recent events put him in a more complex situation and ex-Barcelona player and Pedro’s friend Cesc Fabregas remains the key for the deal to happen.
