Chelsea are reportedly considering a massive move for PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi in a £43 million swoop, reports The Sun.
The French international is expected to leave PSG this summer and have attracted interest from a host of clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Juventus besides Chelsea.
The midfielder have scored seven goals last season for PSG and new coach Unai Emery earlier admitted that the midfielder could leave the club this summer.
The 29-year old did not play in last Saturday’s Trophee des Champions final as PSG went on to win 4-1 against Lyon.
Chelsea meanwhile are looking for a replacement for Nemanja Matic who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge as Juventus are looking at Matic as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba.
However, PSG chairman Al Khelaifi said this week they “haven’t talked about Matuidi’s departure”.
He added: “The transfer window is finished for me. Matuidi is a pillar of the team and is under contract. We have a good relationship.
“We are very happy of the recruitment and I think the Jese is our last signing of this transfer window, We are a good team.”
