According to reports in Sportske Novosti, English giants Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan.
The daily has reported that the Italian outfit are ready to accept the Blues’ bid of €25 million for the 23-year-old. However, the midfielder himself has reservations due to some issues with the wages.
The Croatia international is not satisfied with the wages provided by the English outfit and can earn more if he stays in Italy as Inter is all set to offer him better terms.
An offer from Chelsea has already been rejected by Inter a few days ago , but the arrival of Joao Mario at San Siro has given Chelsea a good opportunity to sign the Croatian midfielder.
Another Italian news outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport has claimed that Chelsea are also ready to offer Inter Milan their Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas in order to sign the Croat player. The arrival of Premier League winning midfielder N’Golo Kante has seen the Spain international falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. The daily also claimed that a player of Fabregas’ stature is what Inter need right now to continue their revival as he will bring the much-needed leadership in the midfield.
Brozovic, who has also attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, arrived at the Nerazzurri from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015. The midfielder has scored eight goals in 51 games. Having made his national team debut in 2014, Brozovic has made 20 appearances for the Croatian national team, representing his country at the 2014 World Cup and Euro 2016.
