As per the latest reports from Express, Chelsea have confirmed their interest in west Ham star Enner Valencia. The 25-year has arrived at Upton Park last summer but is increasingly looking to leave the club this summer.

The Equadorian has become an integral part of West Ham’s play and the club is reluctant to sell the player despite the interest from Chelsea. Italian outfit Sampdoria are also in the race for the midfielder but the player wants to make a move to Chelsea if he is to leave the club.

West Ham has stamped a massive £30 million price tag on Valencia whom they bought last summer for just  £12.5 million. The player had previously admitted that is interested in a move to Stamford Bridge.

He said: “I have heard of the interest from Chelsea, yes. And other teams. But we are going to wait.

“You have to see what happens. If it is for my good and that of West Ham, then it is welcome.”

Mourinho is looking to improve his squad as he is looking to defend the Premier League and want European success next season. Valencia have made 32 league appearences for West Ham effecting 7 goals in the process.
