Chelsea striker set for Crystal Palace loan

According to reports in French outlet Le 10 Sport, Crystal Palace are set to sign out of favour Chelsea striker Loic Remy on a season-long loan. The daily has claimed that the French footballer is keen to stay in London and wants the loan deal to Palace to go ahead. Since moving to Stamford Bridge he’s struggled to secure a regular role, making just nine league starts and a move away from Chelsea might bring his career back on track.
Rumours of Remy moving to French giants Lyon were also doing the rounds a few days ago but those were put to bed when Lyon manager, Bruno Genesio, gave a press conference after his sides opening 3-0 Ligue 1 win over Nancy.
Genesio said,” I am not aware of this I don’t know if this is brainwashing.”
With Lyon rumour not materialising, it seems that the former QPR striker will make a move to Palace. The Eagles’ will be desperate to bolster their strike force after Yannick Bolasie and Dwight Gayle left for Everton and Newcastle respectively.
The Eagles have recently completed the club-record signing of Christian Benteke from Liverpool but are still said to be eager to land another striker at Selhurst Park. And Remy is reportedly likely to be their man. Reports are also suggesting that the season-long loan deal will include a €12 million option to buy.
