Chelsea starlet Nathan Baxter has officially joined Solihull Moors on a season-long loan deal for the rest of the season.
The 18-year-old has been one of the most promising starlets in Chelsea Academy and the Blues fans now will have to scout his progress with Solihull Moor.
Baxter joins a Solihull side 16th in the National League and could be in the squad at Boreham Wood on Saturday.
The 18-year-old Chelsea youngster spent the first half of the season on loan at Ryman Premier side Met Police.
“It’s a big boost for the football club to bring in such a young talent from Chelsea for the second-half of the season,” Moors boss Liam McDonald said.
“With Nathan Vaughan injured at this moment in time, we’ve been a short in that area so Nathan’s addition is much needed and we’re delighted to have him at The Moors.
“Coming from a club of Chelsea’s calibre, Nathan’s ability is undoubted and I personally look forward to playing a part in the player’s on-going development alongside our goalkeeping coach Darren Acton.”
Club director Jed McCrory added: “I’m delighted to have helped negotiate this deal to bring in a talented youngster from the current Premier League leaders and I’m sure Solihull Moors fans will welcome Nathan to the club.
“I believe this is a real coup for the Moors and shows the strides we are making as a football club both on and off the pitch.”
The Blues keeper has been tipped to have a bright future at Chelsea and loan move will help him to continue progress and play first-team football.
Chelsea have already sent hosts of young talents on season-long loan deal and Nathan Baxter now has been among them.
