Pedro Rodriguez’s transfer to Manchester United is all but done, however, United’s delay in announcing Angel Di Maria’s transfer to PSG has given Barcelona a chance to make sure they keep hold of the winger until they meet Sevilla for the UEFA Super Cup on 11 August.

The two Spanish sides are set to meet in Tbilisi (Georgia) where Catalans will play the first final of the season in order to conquer their “SEXUTPLE” hunt.

Coach Luis Enrique is wary of the fitness levels of his stars Lionel Messi and Neymar thus he wants Pedro to remain at the club until the Super Cup

Manchester United are in a rush to complete the deal, which is expected to be in the region of €35million including the add-ons. Pedro is just waiting for the final word before he could join Old Trafford in the summer.

Only catch to Barcelona’s hopes of holding on to Pedro is United’s start of the season game of 8th August and their Champions League qualification game scheduled for late August. If Pedro plays in the Super Cup, it could create issues for Louis Van Gaal to field the Spaniard in his squad for the Champions League qualification games.
