According to Italian media outlet Gazello Dello Sport, West Ham United are close to signing AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca.
The club is keen to add more options to their squad as they are set to compete both in Premier League and Europa League this season.
West Ham have been looking to sign a striker all over summer but their search was over when they managed to sign Andre Ayew from Swansea as the Hammers broke their club record with a £20.5m.
However, the club is ready to break their club transfer record again as they are willing to pay £25m for the Colombian international who is not interested in playing for AC Milan and have been linked with a move away from the Italian side.
Bacca currently earns £60,000 at AC Milan and is in talks with West Ham over doubling his wages to £120,000 per week to agree on personal terms with the Premier League club. The wages would mean that he would earn the highest salary at the club alongside Dmitri Payet.
The 29-year old is currently in talks with his agent and West Ham are keen to finalize the deal as they look to build on last year’s performance. Bacca was earlier linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal earlier.
