In what can be the biggest transfer of not only the season but also of the decade, recent reports have suggested the Real Madrid’s Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo might be moving out of the La Liga this summer.
The 31-year old has been one of the best players over the last few years not only in La Liga but all over Europe and will be with the Portugal team in the EURO16 in France.
Though the former Manchester United player has revealed in the past that he is happy in Spain, there have been a number of reports suggesting a move away from the club even in the last two summer transfer windows.
However, in recent times, the 31-year old has been heavily linked with an exit from Los Blancos with a move to French outfit Paris Saint-Germain on the cards.
Talking to The Secret Footballer, reliable Spanish journalist Guillem Balague revealed that a move is on the cards but revealed what can make the move happen.
Ronaldo was once again superb in front of goal this season for Real scoring 51 goals in as many appearances but the Champions League final later in the week might just be his last game at the Berna Beu according to Balague.
He said that Real Madrid and Ronaldo are not too stubborn to part ways and that if the Spanish club finds a replacement, the 31-year old may well be on his way to France this summer.
‘Ronaldo and Real Madrid are trying to part company but Madrid wants the right money for him and the right substitute.’ Balague told The Secret Footballer.
However, he went on to explain that there are few players who can probably replace Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is one option but his settled life at the Allianz Arena will be hard to persuade leaving Real with no real suitable options in front of goal next season.
Though this will mean that the Spanish outfit will, in the end, renew Ronaldo’s contract, there is now no doubt that he will be on his way out of the club if they manage to identify and lure a replacement to Spain in the summer.
With incredible numbers over the seasons in the EPL and also the La Liga, Ronaldo is surely one of the best players in the history of football but his future at the club is now in a doubt.
Do you think PSG can get their hands on Ronaldo?
