Former Manchester United and England captain David Beckham is busy in his UNICEF charity match next month between Britain and Ireland All-star XI vs Rest of the World XI. To promote the match, Beckham was at Old Trafford earlier today where he was quizzed about several things and one of them being Ryan Giggs and his credential to be Manchester United manager.
Beckham backed his former teammate and friend to take over at Old Trafford in coming years and explained why he believes that the Welshman will do a great job. Beckham threw some light on Giggs’ mentality and said that he always had this mean streak about himself, one and off the pitch.
Beckham also said that gigs has complete grasp over this football club as he has been here all his life. Giggs and his connection with the fans will help him settle well at the club in his new role and the club’s mantra bleeds in his veins. Giggs understands this club better than any other former player and is indeed the right choice to be United’s manager in coming years.
Beckham also spoke about seeing Sir Alex Ferguson back in the dugout at Old Trafford and claimed that it is one of the things he is looking forward to when he takes on Zinedine Zidane’s Rest of the World XI on 14th November.
