David De Gea inspired Spain to a solid win over Ukraine last night as the defending Champions booked their place at the Euro 2016 campaign in France next year. Following the win, De Gea was quizzed by the reporters concerning the game and his immediate future with Manchester United.

De Gea did answer few questions but sheepishly avoided the contract talks concerning his future at Old Trafford. When asked about the release clause in his contract at Manchester United, De Gea said: “You should ask [my agent] Jorge [Mendes] that question; he’s the one who pays attention to those details.”

The former Atletico Madrid keeper signed a long-term contract until 2019 putting few doubts on hold as Real Madrid continued to hover around his signing. It was all a fiasco on the transfer deadline day as De Gea’s move to Real Madrid was put on hold after clubs failed to produce valid paper works.

That enabled the keeper to stay put at Manchester United, however, with his recent comments his future has been put in dark once again and now we wait until next summer transfer window as Real Madrid will make one last attempt in signing the Spaniard.
