De Gea set to extend Manchester United Deal, NOT joining Real Madrid

David De Gea is once again in the news and this time the news will come as a Good-One for Manchester United fans as De gea’s agent Jorge Mendes has come out and squashed any chances of De Gea joining Real Madrid in near future. Mendes also said that he is currently negotiating with Manchester United over the possible renewal of David De Gea’s current contract at Old Trafford.

There have been plenty of speculation surrounding David De Gea’s future at Manchester United especially after Victor Valdes joining United on a free transfer from Barcelona.

De Gea, who joined Manchester United in an £18 Million from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 has been a subject to a massive £50 Million bid from Real Madrid but as Jorge Mendes has clearly stated now that talks with Manchester United have begun, we can see De Gea signing his contract extension sooner rather than later.

De Gea has been in inspiring form this season helping United secure crucial points on mnay occasions this season. There have been few suggestions about De Gea wanting to install a release clause in his contract to get him a way out from Manchester United if his heart gets set on a move to Real Madrid.

Negotiations are well under way between De Gea and Manchester United according to De Gea’s Jorge Mendes. Speaking to a Spanish Radio station, Jorge Mendes said: “It’s not true that the deal is done,”

“I am negotiating his contract renewal but we haven’t signing anything yet.

As of the moment, we will see what happens. “We’re holding talks and at this moment it seems he could continue with United, but as I say, we haven’t signed anything yet.”

If the statement is to be believed then it is only a matter of time when Manchester Unite agree the terms of David De Gea as they will not want to miss out on one of world’s finest Goal Keepers at the moment.
