Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has agreed personal terms ahead of his proposed move to Arsenal. This comes after Sky Sports revealed the news stating the player has agreed to move to Chelsea’s London rivals Arsenal.
However, Sky Sports also understands that Cech’s transfer fee is yet to be agreed by both the clubs. Chelsea have asked for a price between £9-11million while Arsenal are holding them out for a fee close to £7million plus the add-ons.
Cech is keen to make his switch to Arsenal as the player is determined to leave Chelsea but does not want to get out of London since his family and kids are well settled in the city. PSG and Manchester United were added to the list of Cech’s suitors but Arsenal have won the race for his signature.
Arsenal have been looking to sign a world-class goal keeper for years and an opportunity has presented itself with Cech’s Chelsea debacle and Arsene Wenger should not let it slip because of an extra £1-2 million.
Arsenal will help their chances a great deal by signing Petr Cech as he still has 3-4 good years ahead of him and he can turn his Arsenal side in to a real championship winning side. Cech will have the access of Champions League football with Arsenal, which again is an added incentive.
The deal is expected to take another couple of weeks as clubs look to settle to a satisfying transfer fee for Petr Cech.
