It has now been officially confirmed that Santos Laguna have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Ulises Davila, who failed to impress during his time at England. The news was recently revealed on the Mexican club’s official website, which stated that the 24 year old attacking midfield superstar had finally left Stamford Bridge and had moved on with his life. The attacker who had signed for the reigning champions of England in the summer of 2011, was unable to earn a spot in the starting eleven till date. His contract was a five-year one with the Blues, who did not award him a single first team opportunity during his time with them.
Davila was sent on loan to other clubs five times during his time in west London with the Premier League giants finding him surplus to their needs.
He was sent to clubs like Vitesse, Sabadell, Cordoba, Tenerife and Vitoria, prior to being eventually sold permanently now.
The news further confirmed that he has been sold by manager Jose Mourinho himself, as per the recent claims by Clubsantos.mx.
The former Mexico U-23 international has agreed to a three-year deal with the Liga MX club and will hope to get his career back on track soon.
The Londoners are themselves struggling this season, after going down 1-0 at home to Bournemouth in the league on Saturday evening.
The Portuguese boss is trying his best to turn things around at the club and hopefully more deals could be expected to go through in the January transfer window.
