In a mojor transfer scoop Arsenal have agreed to sign the Argentine wonderkid Maxi Romero in next few days. Romero is seen as one of the best talents to have come out of South Amercian football in recent times. Those closely monitoring the player have tipped Romero to go on and be as good as Lionel Messi one day.

Romero, 16 plays for an Argentine club Velez Sarsfield and was set to be awarded a contract extentsion by the club but Arsenal have identified his potential and have stopped his contract extension and will complete the signing of Maxi Romero next week.

As per Telegraph and Metro, Arsenal officials will fly to Argentina to complete the deal for Maxi Romero which is believed to be in the region of £2 million. Arsenal have planned to leave Romero on loan at Velez Sarsfield for the season and will bring him to Emirates next season.

Romero’s agent, Rolando Zarate, is very confident of the deal to go through. He has been lauding this transfer back in Argentina and thinks that Arsenal have signed one of the best young talents in game right now.
