Chelsea have announced the transfer of highly talented right back Cristian Manea from the Romanian club Viitorul Constanta. The 17-year old right-back is set to join the Blues for a reported fee of £2million.
The news was broken by Emanuel Rosu, the famous journalist from Romania. Rosu tweeted the news of Viitorul Constanta CEO confirming the news of the transfer.
Manea, 17 will have to stay away from Chelsea for another year before he gets an official working permit to be able to represent the blues.
As per reports, Manea will come to London to sign a 5-year contract before being loaned out to Chelsea’s feeder club Vitesse Arnhem.
Manea had gathered a lot of interest around Europe with Ajax and Arsenal reportedly interest in signing the player.
Manea has already represented his national side just at the age of 16. So far Chelsea are yet to announce the deal for the right-back through their official channels.
However, Viitorul Constanta CEO has already confirmed the news so Chelsea fans can rejoice of securing second transfer of the season.
Chelsea are on course to complete another transfer in coming days after Jose Mourinho confirmed his interest in bringing Radamel Falcao at the club.
