Tottenham thrashed the hosts Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town 0 – Tottenham Hotspur 4 (Harry Kane 9′ & 23′; Ben Davies 16′; Moussa Sissoko 90’+1′)

Tottenham Hotspur climbed up to the no.3 position in the points table after beating the hosts Huddersfield Town by a 4-0 margin. Harry Kane put the Spurs 1-0 ahead on just 9th minute. Ben Davis made the scoreline 2-0 for the visitors on 16 minutes after Spurs played a superb passing football. Seven minutes later, Harry Kane struck for the second time in this game with a brilliant shot from just outside the box.

Late on, Moussa Sissoko scored the last goal for the visitors in the injury time which was also his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur.

In the entire match, Tottenham had some chances to add more goals while Laurent Depoitre was the only taking point for the hosts whose brilliant effort from 25-yards distance unluckily hit the post in the 42nd minute.

 

Bournemouth held to a goalless draw against Leicester

Hosts AFC Bournemouth were held to a goalless draw against Leicester City. Bournemouth totally dominated in this game but failed to break the deadlock.

 

Manchester United once again clinched a 4-0 victory; Crystal Palace continued their goalless defeat

Manchester United 4 (Juan Mata 3′; Marouane Fellaini 35′ & 49′; Romelu Lukaku 86′) – Crystal Palace 0

Manchester United continued their undefeated streak in the ongoing season after clinching another 4-0 victory and this time against Crystal Palace who still has not opened yet their goal-scoring account as well as the points-table account in this season.

Juan Mata produced an early lead for the hosts United after he successfully netted on just 3 minutes that was superbly assisted by Marcus Rashford.

Marouane Fellaini extended the lead to 2-0 on 35 minutes from Ashley Young’s cross. Fellaini also scored the next goal just 4 minutes into the second half through a header from the following set-piece that was taken by Rashford. Romelu Lukaku made the scoreline 4-0 on 86 minutes with an easy finish.

 

Peter Crouch produced a victory for Stokes with a late strike

Stoke City 2 (Mame Diouf 40′; Peter Crouch 85′) – Southampton 1 (Maya Yoshida 75′)

Peter Crouch provided the second victory for Stoke City in this season through a late goal against his former Premier League club Southampton.

Hosts Stoke went 1-0 ahead on 40 minutes after Mame Diouf successfully netted through a header from the following corner.

Just two minutes later, the hosts won a penalty after Saido Berahino was pull down by Virgil van Dijk inside the penalty box. Berahino took the penalty chance, but he failed to utilise that opportunity as the visiting goalie Fraser Forster saved that attempt in the bottom right corner.

Southampton made a comeback into the game on 75 minutes after Maya Yoshida struck with a superb volley.

On 85 minutes, substitute Peter Crouch scored the winner for the hosts with a simple tap-in after some goalmouth clutters.

 

Richarlison’s injury-time goal denied West Brom’s second home victory

West Bromwich Albion 2 (Salomon Rondon 18′; Jonny Evans 21′) – Watford 2 (Abdoulaye Doucoure 37′; Richarlison 90’+5′)

Richarlison’s injury-time goal denied West Brom Albion’s second home victory in this Premier League season as the match ended with a 2-2 result. Hosts earned an early 2-0 lead after Salomon Rondon and Jonny Evans scored on 18 minutes and 21 minutes respectively.

Abdoulaye Doucoure brought back Watford into the game on 37 minutes after his effort beat the opposing goalie (Ben Foster). On the very final injury minute of the game, Richarlison scored the equaliser goal through a header from the following free-kick.

 

Sakho guided Hammers to a victory

West Ham United got their second victory in this Premier League season after Diafra Sakho scored the solitary goal on 90 minutes. During that goal, Arthur Masuaku produced a cross for Sakho who fired ball into the net to set a winner for the hosts’ Hammers.

 

De Bruyne’s superb strike settled a winner for Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne’s superb strike settled a winner for Manchester City against the defending champion Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. In that high-voltage encounter, De Bruyne scored the only goal of the match on 67 minutes with a superb shot from just outside the box. After playing a quick one-two with Gabriel Jesus, De Bruyne hammered with his left-foot that completely beat the hosts’ goalie (Thibaut Courtois).

Arsenal clinched an easy victory against Brighton & Hove Albion

Arsenal maintained the winning streak on their home ground as this time they easily beat Brighton & Hove Albion by 2-0. Nacho Monreal scored the first goal on 16 minutes which was stretched by Alex Iwobi on 56 minutes.

 

Dominant Everton frustrated with a narrow home defeat

Everton 0 – Burnley 1 (Jeff Hendrick 21′)

Despite playing a dominant football, hosts Everton suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Burnley. Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrik scored the only goal of the match on 21 minutes. Everton failed to reply despite having some good chances.

 

Coutinho stunner went in vain with a draw result

Newcastle United 1 (Joselu 36′) – Liverpool 1 (Philippe Coutinho 29′)

Philippe Coutinho’s superb strike went in vain with a draw result as the match between Newcastle United and Liverpool ended in a 1-1 scoreline.

Visitors Liverpool went 1-0 ahead on 29 minutes after Coutinho’s curling shot from 25-yard distance found the net. But Liverpool’s weak defence once again led to conceding an important goal as Joselu equalised the scoreline on 36 minutes.

Liverpool tried hard to score another time, and they had some great chances, but failed to finish those.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace – i) It was Juan Mata’s 200th Premier League appearance. He became the seventh Spanish footballer to make 200 or more Premier League appearances.

ii) In the Premier League history, Crystal Palace is the second team to lose their first seven games of the season (first was Portsmouth in 2009/10).
