Arsenal are all set to get a stiff competition in their pursuit of signing Porto star Yacine Brahimi as according to a report in Sky Sports, the Gunners’ domestic rivals Everton have entered the race to sign the talented winger.

Arsenal were reportedly contemplating a move for the 26-year old after missing out on Premier League winning midfielder Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian international has already expressed his desire to leave his current club and his departure looks imminent as he was left out of the Portuguese outfit’s Champions League squad in midweek.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the talks between the Merseyside club and the player have progressed well. However, it seems that convincing the player to make the move to Goodison Park will be a tough task for the Toffees because Brahimi’s preference is a move to one of England’s Champions League clubs.
