Ex-Barcelona player Bojan Krkic insists that Stoke City are not trying to play like Barcelona, but readily acknowledges the fact that the team has changed under Mark Hughes.

The Spaniard spent his youth career at Barcelona and played 163 times for the club, before moving to Stoke City at the start of last season.

He has been in excellent form this season and Stoke is just three points off the top six and is at the 11th position in the Premier league table.

The 25 year old accepts that the style of play has improved compared to its previous seasons.

The likes of Marko Arnautovic, Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan are giving Stoke fans some high intensity football to watch.

Bojan told Sky Sports: “It’s different styles of course, me and Marc Muniesa came here from Barcelona, and it is very different, but we

know we have to play like Stoke City.

“We want to play football, nice football. To play like Barcelona is difficult, we don’t want to do that. We want to play, enjoy football, and

of course win the game.

“Yes of course [it has changed]. The people say Stoke City four years ago is completely different to now. I see this, and I can see

everyone wants to move Stoke in the best position in the Premier League.”

Stoke City take on in-form Crystal Palace at Britannia Stadium today at 8.30 PM IST.

The Spanish forward is happy to embrace different cultures and is happy playing at England where as in Spanish and Italian leagues, where Bojan

previously played, now have winter break.

“I enjoy playing football here in England. Of course the weather and food is better in Spain, but for me it is a good experience to be here

and enjoy the different styles of life.

Stoke City is consistently playing good football of lately and its players have lived up to their credentials with good performances in every match.
