As per the Spanish Newspaper Sport, Dani Alves’ agent will head to England to hold discussion with Manchester United for a possible Summer move for the RIght Back. The news will come as a major boost to the United manager Louis Van Gaal who is looking to sure up his defence by signing world class defenders and Dani Alves will solve Van Gaal’s problem of finding a proper right back.

Van Gaal has been using Antonio Valencia and Rafael at the Right Wing Back position through out this season with minimum of effect. Dani Alves woul be the ideal fit to Van Gaal’s philosophy of playing a 3 men defence and operate with wing backs. Alves, who is known for his attacking explots on the wings would prove as a consistent supply line for the likes of Robin Van Persie and radamel Falcao.

Dani Alves will be out of contract next summer and he is yet to receive any contract from Barcelona. Dani alves had previously expressed his desires to stay at Camp Nou for longer duration. Alves had even agreed to take a cut on his wages but in return he wanted a 3-year contract which Barcelona are not willing to offer to the 32-year old Right Back.

Dani Alves’ agent Dinorah Santana will be in Manchester next week, as confirmed by Sport to discuss the possible Free Tarnsfer for Dani Alves to Manchester United. It will come a real coup for Van Gaal and United given the amount of experience and talent Alves would bring to any side he plays for.

There are other clubs who are keeping a close tab on Alves’ contract situation at Barcelona. One of those interested teams are Paris Saint-Germain. The French champions have previosuly contacted Alves over the possible transfer to Ligue 1 but with very little succes. With Alves being available on a free-transfer, things could work in favor for PSG, however they will have to battle it out with Manchester United to secure Alves’ signature.
