Jurgen Klopp’s brigade will once again be in action this weekend in the FA Cup as they face a tough test against Slaven Bilic’s Hammers who completed the double over the Merseyside outfit in the Premier League this season. Klopp’s team lost 3-0 in their last meeting with the Hammers in the first game of the new year and the German will be hoping to take some revenge and dump West Ham out of the Cup.
It will be interesting to see the set up of the home side with the team already in a cup final but every piece of silverware will be important for a growing manager and Klopp will surely go all out for a victory. Bilic on the other hand will be silently confident of his team performing the same way and out playing the Reds when the two teams meet this weekend.
Here is the preview of the game along with the Team News, Expected Line-ups, Predictions and Betting Odds.
The fourth round game of the FA Cup between Liverpool and West Ham Untied will be played on Saturday the 30th of January at the Anfield on Saturday. The kick-off is schedule at 5:30 pm BST (11:00 pm IST).
The Red’s boss revealed that Dejan Lovren will be back in contention for a starting place in the squad and that Nathaniel Clyne who missed out against Stoke will also be back for the home side. Coutinho, Skrtel and Sturridge are still out injured while skipper Jordan Henderson is doubtful for this clash. Caulker may start on the night with Klopp admitting that his side will be young and changed from the one that played Stoke in the mid-week.
Carl Jenkinson’s injury in the last game against will see him out of action for the rest of the season as he returned to the parent club Arsenal for rehabilitation. Andy Carroll, Sakho and Lanzini are all on their way back from injury but this trip to Anfield comes too early for the trio. Sam Byram the new buy is cup tied which wills see Tomkins fill in the right back position in Jenkinson’s absence.

West Ham United:
Randolph, Tomkins, Collins, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Song, Moses, Noble, Kouyaté, Payet, E Valencia
Benteke vs Ogbonna:
The big Belgian has not been in the best of the form off late but is a goal scorer none the less and possess plenty of threat up front. He will be up against Ogbonna who has had a decent season so far. Liverpool will surely look to provide some service for their striker and if given space, Benteke can hurt the visitors on the night.
Payet vs Lovren:
The biggest battle on the field for Liverpool will be to keep the likes of Dimtri Payet quite on the night. Payet has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season. He has been superb after returning from injury and can seriously damage Liverpool’s chances of a victory on Saturday. Lovren will have to give him no space and time on the ball if the home side are to get anything from this game.
Liverpool are yet to lose to the Hammers in the FA Cup in 6 previous meetings (W4 D2)
However, West Ham have won three of the last four meetings between the two sides.
Liverpool have ended all their previous 7 games against Premier League sides in the FA Cup with 2-1 score lines with 4 wins and 3 losses.
The Hammers have won just one of their last 8 FA Cup games away from home.
West Ham: 3/1
Though Liverpool have not beaten West Ham this season in the previous two attempts, their never say die attitude in the last few games will surely give them confidence and will start this game at Anfield as favorites but not by much as Bilic will surely know how to get a result out of this game. It is a hard game to call with odds on the game going to the next leg.
Liverpool 1-1 West Ham
