Arsenal and Southampton club officials have been hit with the news of The FA investigating Calum Chambers’ £15 Million transfer from Southampton to Arsenal in the Summer.
Following The FA’s decision to investigate Chambers’ transfer, an Arsenal spokesperson came out to clear the air and stated: “Everything was open and cordial and above board with Southampton throughout Calm Chambers transfer”.
So far, The FA have refused to comment on the exact reason of this investigation against Chambers’ transfer. Theories have been drawn of an agent unrest but in all probablity an Agent unrest would be too smaller reason for a direct probe by The FA.
It is believed that The FA has decided to probe in to the tramsfer following a complaint from a Third-Party involved in the deal. Complaint states that there have been few things misinterpreted by the both clubs and representatives of Calum Chambers. This transfer was conducted under the watchful eyes of Les Reed of Southampton and Arsenal’s Dick Law.
This news comes even more as a susprise because the transfer looked to have concluded smoothly at the time with the player and both the clubs involved being very happy with the transfer.
Arsenal and Southampton must be sweating over the eventual outcome of the investigation which will take its due course of time to get completed and till then there will be many sleepless nights at Arsenal and Southampton.
Since no one is aware of the exact reason and neither The FA are saying anything, no defense or counter argument can be prepared by either of the clubs. The investigation is expected to take around a month to get over and result will be keenly awaited by Arsenal and Southampton.
