Manchester United left full-bak Luke Shaw suffered a horrible ankle injury while playing in the UEFA Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven tonight.
Luke Shaw was making a run down the left flank when PSV man Hector Moreno pulled off a rough tackle at the English youngster. Shaw went down to the ground in great pain as it looked like he might have twisted his ankle badly.
The injury brought back the memories of certain horrific player injuries in the past. It could have been a career threatning injury for the promising younsgter.
He was replaced by Marcos Rojo in the left-back position
Shaw tweeted to thank his fans. He said: “Thank you everyone for your messages , words can’t describe how gutted I am , my road to recovery starts now, I will come back stronger.”
The defender tweeted to thanks his supporters around the world and other fans who wished recovery on social media.
His tweet read:
