Swansea have had a very inconsistent season so far, and
could very easily get sucked down to the bottom of the table. They are in 15th
place with only 21 points, just three above the relegation places and only two
above Fulham. They have struggled for goals this season, but their home form
has been slightly better. Swansea has had quite a few injury concerns lately
and this could be a major factor in the match.

Fulham’s season has gotten better since bringing in Rene
Muelensteen as manager, but they are still mired in the relegation battle where
they are 17th in the table with 19 points, just one off of the bottom three.
They travel to Swansea and have had difficulties on the road all season long
with only three wins and no draw in the league. The Cottagers have failed to
score in five out of their last seven away fixtures and have kept just one
clean sheet on the road all season.

What to expect

Fulham will not make it easy for Swansea and could get a win
in what seems like a make or break match for Swansea. A loss would well and
truly put Swansea in the relegation battle and it could become struggle to get
out of it, meaning that this match could be considered a potential relegation six-pointer.

Swansea have a number of injury problems ahead of this game,
with Garry Monk, José Cañas, Michu, Jonjo Shelvey and Angel Rangel all
sidelined while Nathan Dyer, Michel Vorm and Jonathan De Guzmán could be
involved in some capacity despite being doubts. Dwight Tiendalli is expected to
start at right-back, and Spaniard Jordi Amat is likely to start in midfield
alongside Leon Britton.

For Fulham, Fernando Amorebieta, John Arne Riise and Matthew
Briggs are all set to miss out with injury, meaning Kieran Richardson could
revert to left-back. Central defender Dan Burn is expected to make his second
Premier League start since returning from Birmingham on loan.

Match Prediction

The onus will be on the hosts Swansea to secure the win and
they’re favorites to pick up maximum points against the Cottagers.

Swansea City 2-1
Fulham
