English Premier League is going start today 8th August. The most watched league is going to be unveiled with the huge encounter between Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

We will be highlighting on four possible dark horses for this season. Every season, we see some huge upsets taking place in the league. For example, last season, Stoke defeated Liverpool 6-1.

The biggest dark horse among them is Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace

The London club finished tenth last season with 48 points on the board from 38 games. After Pardew took charge at Selhurst Park, the club never had to look back. 

French midfielder Yohan Cabaye moved to Palace this summer from French champions Paris Saint-Germain to reunite with his former manager Pardew. 

With a very good squad, they are capable of getting top eight easily this season and even push for a top six finish.

Another dark horse for the season is Swansea City. Garry Mosk did very well with the Welsh side last season finishing eighth in the leagu with 56 points.

They have also made a significantly impressive signing in Andre Ayew, that too for free.

With a very good squad , they are also capable enough to challenge for a Europa League qualification place.

Another team to be watched out for is Stoke City.

Mark Hughes’ team finished ninth last season and they made some good additions this summer. They signed promising Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel on season loan, former Barcelona attacking midfielder Ibrahim Afellay for free, former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson for free.

With a very good and deep squad, we can see the making some upsets this season also and a push from them for the top eight is may be on the cards.

A fallen giant of English football, Newcastle United may ahave  season to remember this time and a resurrection can be on the cards.

The Magpies have made some significantly good signing this summer. The best signing is Georginio Wijnaldum who was the Eridivisie Player of the Year last season playing for the champions PSV Eindhoven.

Another good signing is highly rated young Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic from Anderlecht.

A good start of the campaign and a good management from the gaffer can lead them to a top eight finish after having a disappointing season finishing fifteenth in the table.
