After their 2-0 loss to Chelsea last night, Arsenal are facing a huge setback as their star midfielder Francis Coquelin out for the midweek’s North London Derby in the Capital One Cup and is likely to miss the Gunners’ crucial Premier League game against Leicester City next weekend.

Coquelin landed awkwardly after jumping for a header and was treated by the medical staffs. Later, manager Arsene Wenger took the Frenchman off and introduced Callum Chambers as a replacement for Gabriel Paulista, who was sent-off in a controversial manner.

After the game, Wenger revealed that Coquelin is having an injury and confirmed that he won’t be a part of the Tottenham match. “It is a little knee injury. I don’t know how long it will be – certainly not for midweek. I don’t know yet how long.”

In his absence, Wenger will be hoping for the club captain Mikel Arteta or Mathieu Flamini to step up for his side.
