Germany's Draxler could miss Euro 2016 due to injury

Munich, April 15 (IANS) The chances of German international Julian Draxler playing in Euro 2016 are doubtful following an injury he sustained during the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals between Wolfsburg and Real Madrid.

The German club announced on Thursday that Draxler is suffering from severe muscular cramps that could sideline him for weeks, reports Efe.

His injury comes before coach Joachim Loew announces the German squad participating in the Euro 2016 this summer in France.

Draxler expressed his frustration for not helping his team advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League, and pledged to do everything in his power to get back to the field as soon as possible.
