Harry Kane’s sensational performance this season has been well rewarded by Tottenham Hotspur, as the player has tied his future with the club till 2020 by signing a new and improved five-and-a-half year deal which will see Kane’s wage rise from £20,000-a-week to £35,000-a-week.
Harry Kane had only signed a new deal back in August but his 20 goals this season have earned him this revised contract and it seems like the best deal for both Player and the Club. Kane’s new deal will keep him at Spurs till 2020.
Harry Kane was promoted to the first team by the manager Mauricio Pochettino on the back of his Cup goals and the move paid off big time for Pochettino. After struggling fro goal from their strikers Roberto Soldado and Emanuel Adebayor, Kane gave Spurs the much needed stability up top. Harry Kane has scored 10 league goals already.
Harry Kane was quick to share his reaction on his new deal with his followers on twitter. Kane tweeted, “Very happy to have signed my new contract at Spurs! Excited for the future ahead! Thank you for all your messages.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has challenged Kane to score 30 goals this season. Given how Kane has been consistent in front of the goal, this number might not be out of reach for the England Striker who would hope to be picked by Roy Hodgson for the upcoming friendlies against Lithuania and Italy on 27th and 31st march respectively.
