Eden Hazard is considered as one of the best players in the world right now after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Belgian wizard played a pivotal role for Chelsea last season as the Blues were crowned champions of England.
The 24 year old attacking midfielder was awarded PFA Players’ Player of the Year last season for his impressive display where he scored 14 goals in League providing 9 assists.
Hazard has been shortlisted as the only player from the Premier League in the UEFA European Player of the year.
He is touted as one of the players who can potentially emulate Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in future.
But the talented footballer has stated that he has to score more goals to become the world’s best player in future and to be considered in the same bracket with the football greats.
Hazard featured for the Blues in all 38 League games last seasons and Mourinho rarely gives the young man any rest just like Lionel Messi and Ronaldo who features for their respective teams week in week out.
Lionel Messi scored a total of 43 goals in La Liga last season with 15 in the Champions League as well where as Cristiano Ronaldo smashed 48 goals in the La Liga only.
The contribution of Hazard to chelsea’s team is undoubtedly crucial but the midfielder believes he needs to score more to become world’s best.
“If I want to reach this level I have to score 40, 50 goals just for one season.”
“Last season I scored 17. Maybe it’s good but maybe it’s not enough.”
“How can I get better? My aim is to score more goals, to create more chances and to win more trophies.”
He added, “That’s a bit of pressure for me! But I just want to play and give pleasure on the pitch.”
Hazard is the main man for Chelsea in their title defence and his improvement in scoring goals will be good for him as well the Stamford Bridge club.
With more goals added to his game, the creative midfielder has a great chance to become the best player in the world.
