Facing FC Rostov In Europa League Could Bring Bad Luck For Manchester United

Manchester United fans will be very happy as they managed to draw against Russian club FC Rostov in Europa League for the Round of 16.
However, the Red Devils will be relatively happy as they have not drawn against the likes of AS Roma and Lyon. But Manchester United will have to play very well in order to progress to the next round in Europa League as Rostov are one of the most formidable sides in the league left.
The Russians have managed to create quite a few upsets in their Champions League campaign as they won against Ajax and Anderlecht to reach the group stages before winning 3-2 against Bayern Munich at home in November.
Despite being in a strong group, Rostov have managed to eclipse PSV Eindhoven to finish third to Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich in their group which paved way to Europa League this season.
Another major problem for Manchester United will be that the team will have to travel long way to Russia to play their first leg at Rostov where the home team lost only once in their last 35 competitive fixtures.
The Red Devils will then have to play against Chelsea in a tough FA Cup game at Stamford Bridge before playing the return leg at Old Trafford the following week.
And Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho is furious with the draw as the club are still fighting across all the four competitions.
“It is a bad draw in every aspect. It is far and it is difficult, and comes in a bad period for us.
“They are a very difficult team. They had a very good Champions League campaign and also beat Ajax and Anderlecht in the playoffs.
“They then had a very difficult group with Bayern and Atletico and but beat Bayern at home. They got third place and knocked out PSV Eindhoven, so they are a strong team.”
Manchester United have the quality and depth in their squad to overcome Rostov in two legged round but it remains to be seen how Mourinho will manage to play against Chelsea in a must win game of FA Cup.
