Huge: Arsenal Using Mesut Ozil As Middleman To Sign Julian Draxler

There looks set to be an almighty fight between some top European clubs to sign Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler this January.
The German has expressed his desire to leave the Bundesliga side on numerous occasions and it appears that his wishes will be granted this winter.
With Wolfsburg reportedly willing to allow the 23-year-old to leave for as little as £25 million, it won’t be surprising to see plenty of clubs interested in securing his services.
One of those clubs in Paris Saint-Germain with RMCSport reporting they are all set to make an offer in the region of £30 million to make sure they sign their man.

The forward has been a long-term target for Arsenal, so could The Gunners make a move for the World Cup winner?
Well, if one player gets his wish, Arsene Wenger will get his cheque book out for him. That’s because, according to Football journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Mesut Ozil has tried to convince Draxler to join the Emirates should the club lodge an official bid.
Ozil obviously knows his compatriot well with both of them beginning their professional careers at Schalke. While Draxler was there when Ozil made his debut in 2006, it took him a further four years to make his own debut. The pair may not have played together at the Veltins Arena, but they both helped their country win the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
And Ozil clearly thinks Draxler has the ability to help Arsenal as they look to win their first league title since 2004.
Despite only just turning 23, Draxler has already played over 200 times for Schalke and Wolfsburg and – as mentioned – already has a World Cup winners’ medal. Not bad.
Although Arsenal have impressive strength in depth in the attacking positions with Ozil, Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott, Alex Olade-Chamberlain, Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez – Draxler could well add some title-winning quality whenever he’s called upon.
First, though, Wenger needs to launch an official bid for Draxler – something he rarely does in January.
Only then, can Ozil work his magic and persuade him to join him in north London. Arsenal fans will be hoping Ozil can produce yet another assist by getting Draxler to sign for the club.
